PURPOSE                      
This workbook is designed to aid in the setup of needle shower systems by simulating the coverage of the current shower setup as well as showing the optimum setup for full coverage.
                               
CURRENT SHOWER SETUP              
  Fabric Information                  
  Only 2 entries are needed: the fabric length andf the fabric speed. 
 
  Current Shower Setup                
  The fields are mostly self explanatory. 
  The MEASURED Oscillation Speed or traversing speed should be verified by measuring the time it takes the shower to traverse 3 inches and dividing by 3.
 
 
                               
RECOMMENDED SHOWER SETUP          
The calculations are based on the oscillator travelling 1 nozzle width per revolution.
The Revs for Full Coverage is simply the Nozzle Spacing divided by the Nozzle Diameter.
The
Recommended Speed and Time for Full Coverage are based on the time per revolution which is Fabric Speed divided by the Fabric Length
 
 
 
SHOWER SIMULATION                
The Shower Simulation allows you to simulate the Number of Impacts per nozzle width using the current shower setup parameters. The only inputs are Oscillator Speed and the # of Revs to Simulate.
  IMPACT CHART
   The vertical axis shows the number of impacts at each shower position.
   The horizontal axis represents a CD width equal to 400 shower nozzle diameters on each chart.

SHOWER WATER QUALITY
    Application of Water Strained w/ 100 Mesh / in. Screen
  Solids Loading PPM Nozzle Type & Diameter
0 - 50 All : filtered fresh water
50 - 75 Needle : 0.040”  and larger
75 - 100 Needle : 0.055”  and larger
100 - 200 Needle : 0.125”  and larger
200 - 500 Brush type shower is recommended
500 and up Purgable nozzles are recommended
OPTIMUM OSCILLATOR SPEED
  Uniform FULL Coverage requires 1 nozzle impact width per fabric revolution
